Italian fishermen landed this huge 19-stone catfish last week in what is thought could be the biggest ever landing using just a fishing rod.
Dino and Dario Ferrari hauled in the giant 8ft 9in long fish in the Po Delta, south of Milan, Italy.
Native to Europe, the wels catfish can grow up to 13ft long and weigh up to 62st – but it is a rare occurrence when one is caught exceeding two metres long.
Italian fisherman Dino Ferrari poses for a picture with an 8ft 10in long catfish caught in the Po River in the outskirts of Mantova, some 160 km (99 miles) SE of Milan, northern Italy.
